Asheville, NC – July 27, 2023 at 6pm – Asheville-based watercolor artist Natalie Ray proudly presents her latest collection, “Lifescapes in Color: A Collective Tapestry,” which is now on display at Mountain Madre, located at 13 W Walnut Street in downtown Asheville. This vibrant series of large-scale watercolor paintings invites the public to immerse themselves in a world of captivating hues and thought-provoking narratives.
An opening reception for “Lifescapes in Color: A Collective Tapestry” is slated for July 27th at 6pm at Mountain Madre’s private event space. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artist, gain deeper insights into the creative process, and immerse themselves in the vibrant world depicted within the artwork.
Each piece in the collection comprises 234 unique paintings, reflecting the intricate and multifaceted nature of existence. Similar to the diverse experiences encountered throughout a lifetime, every square within the artwork possesses its own depth, richness, and layers. When viewed collectively, they form a mesmerizing universe of color, inviting viewers to explore the interconnectedness of human existence.

About the Artist
Natalie Ray is a watercolor artist based in the beautiful mountain city of Asheville, North Carolina. Watercolor painting has always been a passion for Natalie but she developed her skill as an artist while living in Barcelona, Spain in 2003-2004. After moving to Asheville, Natalie joined the artist community of the River Arts District, continuing her art education under internationally known and award-winning artists. Now Natalie lives and paints in Asheville with her musician husband, Justin Ray, their three young children.
