You can’t explain jazz to anyone without losing the experience because it’s a feeling, not words. – Bill Evans

From the artist – I have lived my life with a generous amount of spontaneity, and I keep that rhythm at the forefront of my work.  I am most inspired by my immediate surroundings: the eclectic musical community in Asheville, and the backdrop of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains that surrounds it.  My series, On the Road, I use the contrasting duo of indigo watercolor and gold ink to feature the improvisation within the jazz genre, and the way the music comes from deep within the soul of the musician.

Each painting is an original work, hand-painted on 140 lb Khadi or Arches fine art cotton paper.  Each painting has a unique story from its place on the international stage, which will be included in your purchase.
