Big week ahead! Excited to be installing six 24kt Gold Leaf and Watercolor paintings at Atlas Beauty in Asheville + the release of ten 24kt Gold Leaf and Watercolor paintings to my email subscribers on June 10th! That’s just 3 days away and there’s still a ton left to do!
We are definitely living through unprecedented times. The past few months, but especially the past week has shown just how important the need is for listening, learning, research, donating, prayer, and action. Along with the #artistsupportpledge (more on that below), a portion of this week’s collection release will go directly to “Black Mental Health Matters” – a fund for Black therapists. This fund actively supports low/no cost mental health care by directly helping provide a fair wage to Black therapists providing therapy sessions and workshops to those most in need in Black/ Afro-Indigenous communities.
All pieces in the online release will be part of the #ArtistSupportPledge, where artists offer work for $200 or less and purchase work from another artist when they reach $1000. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many artists have found themselves without work, technical support, open galleries, while exhibitions and sales have declined. In an attempt to help alleviate some of this, the #artistsupportpledgeRAD was created.
